Wild stories.

Slow adventures.

A little spice.

Chasing connection through slow travel, big trails, and snacks.

Hola! I’m Karin.

I am a bug nerd, trail-chasing, watercolour-amateur Chilean who’s always up for a wild idea and a new pair of dirty shoes.

I’ve done a few things my mum never thought I would…like run the length of the Yarra River to raise awareness for waterways, solo camped in remote places without phone reception, trail run across the Pyrenees, and bikepacked the Tassie Trail with my stove, tent, and a whole lot of peanut butter. Nature is what fuels me, specially when thing don’t go to plan. And sharing some of my stories is what brings me joy, plus makes me the odd friend in the group who thinks going for a 5 hrs run is “fun”.

I’m not a pro elite athlete and might never be, but I have found a way to push myself and see places I never thought I would. I believe in going slow, getting muddy, talking to lizards, pet of all the dogs, and saying yes to the adventures that reconnect us to the planet. If you’re into big views, deeper meaning, and the occasional nerd-out over beetles — you’re in the right place.

Trails & Trips

The good, the gritty, and the slightly unhinged. These are my trail diaries — from foggy summits to river crossings with snacks in my sports bra. Real stories, real mess, and everything in between.

Gear Review

Honest, trail-tested reviews from someone who actually hauls this stuff up mountains. From sleeping pads to poop shovels — if I’ve used it, sweated in it, or cursed at it, it’s in here.
